Como sucedió en las listas de los Independent Spirit Awards, Globos de Oro, Los Gotham y demás premiaciones a lo mejor del cine del 2014, Birdman, dirigida por Alejandro Iñárritu, resulta ser la favorita a ganar la mayor cantidad de premios, pues en todas ha estado a la cabeza en cuanto a número de nominaciones.
El día de hoy no fue la excepción en las listas de los Critics Choice Awards, ya que seguido muy de cerca por The Grand Budapest Hotel, con 11 candidaturas. Birdman sigue siendo la que más nominaciones ha logrado, con 13. Optando a los premios de mejor película, mejor actor, mejor actor secundario, mejor actriz secundaria y mejor director, entre otros.
Además de Birdman y de The Grand Budapest Hotel, las demás cintas nominadas en la categoría de mejor película son: “Boyhood”, “Gone Girl”, “The Imitation Game”, “Nightcrawler”, “Selma”, “The Theory of Everything”, “Unbroken” y “Whisplash”.
Sin embargo, si nos fijamos en quienes tienen más posibilidades de ganar, o de competir, para la estatuilla e la mejor película del año, tendremos que irnos a la categoría de Mejor Director, en donde se encuentran obviamente Iñárritu (Birdman) y Wes Anderson (Budapest Hotel). Junto a Ava Duvernay (Selma), David Fincher (Gone Girl), Angelina Jolie (Unbroken) y Richard Linklater (Boyhood).
Los premios se entregarán el próximo 15 de Enero.
